21 August 2013

I'm back! Actually, I didn't really go anywhere. I've just been pretty busy. A lot of my time spent hiking has now been converted to running and working out. That being said, we have been out since 14 May. We've been herping some, made a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park, and have been fishing. We haven't really done much dedicated birding since our Big Day. Ryan has gotten me hooked (pun intended) on microfishing and I have in turn got Jenna to enjoy it. Microfishing is fishing in which we target fish that are generally under six inches. This allows us to catch a wide variety of species. I think the best way to catch this blog up is to just post some pictures taken since 14 May. I'll try to be choosy, so not too many get put on here.

Master's degree in Fisheries. Best of luck to you bud, we already miss you.

And just a few of the fish we have caught this summer. I need to start getting better at taking pictures of my fish.

We are going to Washington for the weekend for Jenna's cousin's 12th birthday. The weekend after that, Jenna and I are making a trip to Great Smoky Mountain National Park to look for salamanders. We've been studying about where to find specific species, so hopefully we can find a few.
